Actually, whether Akhil Hayy is in love with Waheeda ‘Wassini’ is none of my business.
But what I am concerned about is the fact that Akhil is supposed to be the role-model of Islam in Malaysia. No doubt he has done a lot but people will point out the mistakes rather than the achievements.
If he has no relationship with Waheeda, then he should stay away from her, at least in public. Words and actions must come together for it to be believed. He says he has nothing to do with her, yet he mysteriously takes her as his ‘wife’ in his TV show. And he chose her after this gossip surfaced. Why? Before this, his show was already doing well without her. Plus, there are a lot more options of ‘pious woman’ for him to choose from. Why her, of all people?
If he actually has, then be a man. Confess, and accept your responsibilities, now that everything is out in the open. Polygamy in Islam is a beautiful thing. It keeps a woman’s dignity and honour intact, by relationship through a legal marriage. If you have married her, or going to, I wish you happiness. But don’t neglect your responsibility to your first wife and kids. You won’t be at the top forever. She (your first) married you (I’m assuming) before you were famous. One day you will fall, and when that day comes, chances are, the ones who will help you get up again will be the ones who were with you when you were still a nobody.

Bila Dua Jiwa Bertaut
Dalam seminggu, berat badan aku sudah naik 3 kilo. Kelihatan semuanya bermastautin di bahagian perut. Owh..tidak.
Selain daripada realiti yang merisaukan itu, hidup aku cukup bahagia. Ahh..masakan tidak kan? Baru 3 minggu bergelar suami. Bangun pagi, sarapan sudah disiapkan, pakaian kerja sudah digosok, segala perkakas, peralatan, kunci kereta, dompet semua tersusun kemas. Tidak perlu lagi aku kelam-kabut mencari semuanya di celah-celah timbunan baju yang terlonggok di tepi katil seperti waktu bujang dahulu. Pulang kerja disambut mesra. Tidur malam…..ahh… tak perlulah aku cerita. Daya imajin kamu kan tinggi?
Baru bertatih dalam dunia baru ini, pasti banyak perkara yang masih aku perlu pelajari. Tapi pesan sahabatku akan ku pegang. Janganlah takut membuat keputusan kerana takut silap. Kerana dari kesilapanlah kita belajar. Yang penting jangan alpa membiarkan kesilapan yang sama berulang. Juga, hidup ini terlalu singkat untuk belajar semuanya melalui kesilapan sendiri. Lihatlah kesilapan orang lain juga dan belajarlah darinya.
