Humiliated

What do you do if someone humiliates you in front of others?

Recently, somebody said something tremendously offending to me. And at the spur of the moment, I went blank. I didn’t know how to respond or what to say. I wish I had the wits and wisdom to shoot something back,  but I couldn’t. And what he said kept lingering in my head for days.

I hate it when this happens.
