Indulgences

I have succumbed to the voices in my head telling me to get wireless broadband. Due to the nature of my life at its present state, Streamyx, though seemingly more tempting, is not a viable option. After much pondering and comparing, I decided to go for Celcom’s WB. But the decision of actually buying and registering the account was rather on the spot. I was at the Celcom shop, paying my overdue phone bills when I decided to ask about the package. The salesman was so polite and very clear about his explanations. I was surprised (though this may be due to my ignorance of the latest update regarding this) that there was no binding contracts at all. I can terminate whenever I choose to, if I want to. What a tremendous sense of power to have. One question led to another. In the end, I went out of the shop with my bills paid, a new wireless modem in my bag and RM450 less in my pockets.

So far I am quite satisfied with the service, although two days of use is hardly enough time to say whether the service is and will be good enough. But suffice to say, it has allowed me little indulgences that I wasn’t privileged with before. Currently, I’m blogging this in my office using WB because my office internet line is blocked. I can now surf wherever I want without the fear of some IT guy in my office tracking all my virtual footsteps in the cyber world and catching me going somewhere I’m not supposed to go, be it blogs or whatnot.
